Call Me A Whiny Liar

So I said I wouldn't be updating from the road but guess who needed a quick break from the grind?

Ever had one of those days where nothing seems to go right for you? I had one of those days today.

First, I overslept. Gee imagine that. Go to bed after 12:30 AM and sleep right on through the 4:00 AM alarm. Sound too far fetched for you? Yea, me either.

So, I got to fight

In the fog. Fun times I tell you.

Wait. It gets better. I stop about two hours later to grab some sugar via a soda and something tells me to look at my bags.

Um, guess who grabbed the wrong overnight bag?

Guess who got to drive two hours back the way she came from only to turn around and drive back again and then some?

I finally arrived at the office at 4:30 PM. See, someone forgot about the protestors on I-5 for the soldier on trial going through his court martial.

It was a dang good thing I had jerky, oranges, celery, and soda in the car or I would have really been pissed off.

Peeps, I spent over 7 hours in the car for a trip that normally takes about 3.5 hours.

My lower back and ass are sore. I want a massage. I need sleep.

At least I got steamed veggies at Panda Express. That's fuel to keep me burning the midnight oil.

Oh, and here's something else to add to the day. After I picked up dinner, I realized I was on e and stopped at the local gas station to get gas. I go in to pay and as I am turning around proceed to run smack into a wire rack display of movies. The display proceeds to fall to the ground and DVD's flew everywhere.

Embarrassing...and a little painful.

The lady behind the counter looks at me like I was a crazy woman. I proceeded to tell her I was sorry, starting to pick up the movies, and she hands me a Mr. Goodbar and says, "Let me get those. You look like you need this."

Ah, the kindness of strangers. Or at the very least, the pity of a stranger on a poor sap like me.

Then I get to the hotel and guess who has to park in the north 40?

Anywho, I hope things are good in your world. Remember to keep sending me those vibes. You obviously can see I need them.

Peace and Love Peeps.
