Weekly Challenge #96

Are your weekday mornings usually rushed?

Mine tend to be. I am go, go, go from the time the alarm goes off until I walk out the door.

Wait. Who am I kidding? I am go, go, go all the time but this is my life by my design.

Seriously though, no matter how rushed my mornings are during the week I make time for breakfast.

I prefer to take delight in eggs but if the fridge is empty and time is short I make sure to eat something.

A package of instant oatmeal. A smoothie. A slice of toast and a piece of fruit. A frozen waffle. A yogurt.

Something finds its way to my hands and subsequently to my mouth and therefore nourishes my body.

I challenge you to do the same this week and going forward.

Make time for breakfast. It has been said to be the most important meal of the day. I tend to agree...obviously.

Peace and Love Peeps.

Weekly Challenge #95

This week I challenge you to have at least one serving of a fruit or vegetable each day.

Notice I didn't say per meal.
I would have liked to have said that but in the spirit of keeping it real - and knowing that's a stretch - I am starting with just one a day.

It's easier than you think and your body will thank you for the nutrients.

Just one.

A day.

I know you can do it.

Peace and Love Peeps.

WTB Tonight

Moms are in town! I love spending time with my girls and their Moms.

After chowing down on some Asian food the wolf pack is heading out for some bingo.

This will be in full effect.

Bobbi Sue is sure to make an appearance too. However, I am leaving the cowboy hat at home this go around. Instead I will be sporting a blinged out black distressed one instead.

Peace and Love Peeps.

Happy Weekend

It's Friday afternoon and in the spirit of keeping it real, I'm not feeling it.

I have been tired this week.

My list of to do's seems to be getting longer versus shorter.

Thankfully I have some down time scheduled tonight and tomorrow morning too.

My body, mind, and soul crave it. Tacos too for some odd reason.

I am fortunate to have spent time with some of my favorite peeps last night. This weekend holds more of the same.

Whatcha' got going on y'all?

Hopefully some of the same type of activity is on your agenda too.

Peace and Love Peeps.

Grrrrrr

The last few days have tested me in some of the worst ways in a while.

I killed my crackberry in the mad dash to suck down a chai tea latte Monday morning. Half of the chai goodness made contact with the screen and as the day progressed the phone completely stopped working.

Thankfully I chose the insurance plan and another was shipped out the next day. I am almost completely back up and running once again. I still need to set up my emails but at least I am plugged back in and have all of my contacts, tasks, memos, and calendar at the touch of my hands.

The other stuff challenging me is professional and y'all know I don't discuss my business bisnatch here but know it's been a tad crazy busy for me.

I want to find the nearest Chuck E Cheese and play a quick game of Whack a Mole or two. Maybe three or thirteen games the way I feel right now.

If you hear a loud scream/roar, just look the other way. It's just me letting it all out.

Peace and Love Peeps.

I Was Skeered

See the cute face of my Princess above? Let me just say Saturday morning it wasn't so cute. She was in full on jungle kitty psycho panther mode and I was SKEERED.

I'm not even going to try to deny it. I allowed my cat to freak me the eff out.

It is par for the course when I arrive home from a trip for her to let me know she is happy about my return and then not so happy about the absence.

She is well taken care of by her aunties while I am away but I'd miss me too if I was gone. Ha. Seriously though, I miss her when I am away so I understand her displeasure of my absence.

What usually happens is I love on her when I arrive home and then she has her way with my briefcase, suitcase and at some point in the evening I know to expect a love bite on the ankle or hand.

Friday night was no exception. She did the suitcase and briefcase thing. I had a little bite on my hand.

All was good.

Or so I thought.

Fast forward to Saturday morning. 5:15 rolls around and someone wants to be loved on and fed. I conceded to the power of the paw and purrs.

We fall asleep, or rather I did, and around 7:30 or so here comes the paw again on my back demanding attention. I roll over start to pet her, make eye contact, and proceed to freak.

She had the most crazed look in her eye and I was fearful I was about to have a chunk of my face bit off. She was ready to lunge. She was ready to let me have it.

I turned my face around just in time for her to attack my head. She got a mouthful of hair instead and boy howdy did she grab on to it for dear life too.

We're good now and I believe I have re-established my dominance as the alpha of the household but just in case I will be keeping a close eye on her eyes.

Peace and Love Peeps.

Weekly Challenge #94

This week I challenge you to make time and to find reasons to giggle.

Don't let life's challenges or someone else's mood get in the way of your smiling.

The health benefits of laughing have been proven time and time again so let it flow.

Peace and Love Peeps.

Vibes. Send the Vibes.

I'm heading out for a three day tour.

Send me and J-Lo the safe travel vibes.

Last week, as we were detailing a project, we determined we were both going to the same city on the same days and decided to road trip together.

If you follow me on Twitter you'll be treated to the usual po po and road kill count. Hopefully we won't be stuck in traffic where we have to resort to the license plate game to pass the time but if we do I am sure it will be good times.

The days are going to be long and the nights shorter but I will try to update from the road.

Peace and Love Peeps.

Weekly Challenge #93

It's been almost a year since we did a run through of our medicine cabinet(s).

Unfortunately cold season will be here before we know it so I challenge you to check the expiration dates and stock up on the items you may want to have at the ready.

Check your band-aid supply too. There is nothing worse than going to get one and finding the box containing a lone band-aid or worse, none at all.

Peace and Love Peeps.

Cue Willie

I head out for a quick jaunt to the great state of Texas this morning.

I'm hopeful I get to see some of my family while I am there but reality may have other plans.

Y'all say those prayers and keep the "safe travels, be well vibes" coming my way please.

Peace and Love Peeps.

Weekly Challenge #92

This week I challenge you to try something new.

Whether it be a food you eat, a place you visit, a different method of doing a routine task, the route you drive, a news channel you watch, the way you do your hair, etc.

What do you have to lose?

I'm thinking nothing and you might be surprised at the possibilities and outcome.

Live outside your box.

You can do it.

Try something new.

Peace and Love Peeps.
