My Current Challenge

Something very similar to this is my current arch nemesis.

More to come later.

For now, envision if you will, me trying to gain the upper hand in the handicapped enabled shower against the rogue shower head.

I am slightly embarrassed to say the shower is winning the battle more than I am currently. However, I need to be clean and don't give up easily so the battle continues.

By the time you read this I should have arrived in my destination city and state safely.

I have my best road warrior face on and am ready to own the week versus letting the week own me!

Lately it seems to be the opposite but I am taking back the control y'all.

Just a Lil Bit

Lately I feel as if I am on a merry go round that needs to slow down, slow down just a lil bit.

I realize everything going on, or not going on, is a manifestation of what I have created or allowed to occur.

I place no blame.

I'm grinning and bearing it.

I am putting one foot in front of the other and making it happen.

Right now it seems like there are a lot of "its" and I'd like the "its" to take the ride of my life at a slower pace.

Fashionista in the House

Do y'all remember when I spoke of the Snuggie? Refresh your memory here if you desire.

The most recent public outing was at a late night movie of Julie & Julia, which I really enjoyed. Fisticuffs (Patricia) and I brought ours in with us while Fiwa shook her head at us as she tends to do more often than not.

Anywho, the Snuggie has gone mainstream y'all. It is fashion forward. So much so there was a fashion show in NY for fashion week you can read all about here.

The pose the model makes with the cat like hand move I've done plenty of times while wearing Chester.

Weekly Challenge #98

I had a minor personal scare this week resulting in this week's challenge.

What would you do if you lost your identification, drivers license, debit card, credit cards, membership cards - the items you carry in your wallet?

Are you prepared for such an occurrence?

I realized Friday afternoon I wasn't as on top of my game as I should or could be.

I'm making moves to change that this week.

I will be making copies/scanning the front and back of all my cards and identification by the end of the week.

In case you're wondering, I did find my card carrying case. Rather I should say Henry at the rental car place found it under the passenger seat. It had fallen from my purse before I dropped off the car but I didn't realize until I went to pay for lunch Friday.

The angels were watching over me. Do know I gave thanks and praise to them AND Henry.

Forks or Bust

Going here today for this.

One of the peeps is REALLY into the Twilight series and we're somewhat locals so why not?

This day trip takes up Saturday.

Sunday is full of tasks in need of my attention on the home front - including DVR'ed football games - followed by Sunday dinner at one of the wolf pack's homes.

Friday was work, Pho with Fiwa, a minor personal scare, conversation with Mars, and an early bedtime after my eyes went all buggy on me from loads of analysis.

It's another weekend full of goodness in my world. I hope y'all have some of the same planned too.

Life is Calling

I have hope and faith at some point during the day I will be able to put the phone down, regain my ear, and give my voice a rest.

I spend a lot of time on the phone for business. Today is no exception. It has been a series of conference calls and the normal course of business. Pretty much just another day in the life of Mo on the Go.

Luckily I have a small break before the final scheduled call, which is a 2 hour training session. Then I am off to an associate's farewell happy hour followed by a home cooked meal of shrimp and grits.

Life is calling. I am answering.

Home

I'm back from the Rose City.

The company on the way down was much appreciated. Thanks for laughs, gab session, and jams Ace!

One of the things about this particular stretch of road is I travel it so much there are times I tend to zone out. The vehicle finds its way to my destination and before I know it I have arrived at the office, hotel, or back home.

This trip was like that on the way home. I continued to rock out, count the po po and road kill plus I let my thoughts and mind take me where it wanted to.

I arrived home full of contemplative thoughts, ideas, creative inspiration, and the desire to nap.

On top of that goodness, I had safe travels, was able to catch up with some folks I don't get to see that often, and have lots to process.

I can tell the weekend is over when I update lists and begin checking all of them twice.

Another indicator is when the suitcase finds its way out of the closet.

You know what theat means right? Yup, I head out in the morning for a quick jaunt to the Rose City.

I'll be there and back in what I am sure is going to feel like a blink of an eye.

Today is my birthday. Yay me!

This is what is inspiring this week's challenge. I am thankful for another blessed year filled with love, laughter, good health, and blessings. Lots and lots of blessings.

With that being said, I'm challenging you to celebrate YOU.

Feeling the Fedora

I finally broke down about a month ago and bought a fedora.

Yup, added another hat to the collection.

Y'all would be so proud because this one, like most all of the other ones, was on sale. I love a good sale.

Another thing I like about this hat is it is a spring/summer type material that can take me all the way through the fall and winter too because of the black and white pattern.

I love hats that can do quad duty.

So tell me internets, have you purchased anything you love lately?

I'll share some of the other items I've added in the last few months I've come to love over the course of the next week or so. Some are stylish, some not so much but each one is something that makes me...well, me.
