Monday in Pictures

Images from my Monday, in no real particular order, with commentary of course.
Granny Smith and Fuji apples. Yum! I snack on these as well as juice them in the morning with a few maters, spinach, broccoli, and a carrot or two.

Don't knock it until you try it. I know it sounds gross but it's really good. Seriously. And more importantly, good for you.

My wilted flowers. The hydrangeas were the first to go.

This is where I am spending most all of my time these days; outside is cooler than inside.

When I am inside, this is one of the fans keeping us cool. Earlier today Princess was hogging it. I can't blame her. Not one bit.
The bag of goodies from Jasmine's fans. They truly do love her at the vet's office. One of the boarding technicians actually waited until we arrived so she could love on her for a moment or two even though her shift had ended twenty minutes prior to our appointment. Sunshine in a vase; great on salads, fish, in a glass of water, and of course in a margarita.
This is my summa' time in the car look. See not only does my home not have ac, my car doesn't either! So when it's hot, the windows are down, the hair is pulled back, and mother nature does her thing with me. Or should I say to me?You don't realize how loud 18 wheelers are until they pass you on the highway, going at least 60, and your windows are down. Organic baby spinach, mushroom, grape tomato with a little bit of Tuscan Romano Basil dressing (Bountifuls new from Wishbone) and fresh ground black pepper always hits this girl's spot.

Tomorrow I find out if the tape can come off of the broken toe.

If you look in the background closely you can see something else taking over indoors. Cat hair y'all. My poor babies are shedding something fierce. I can't keep up with them right now. A new stamp I picked up today that fits the bill and sums up my state of mind currently.

Peace and Love Peeps.

Happy Monday

Happy Monday.
It is going to be another hot one around here.
I know, I know. I should be happy we are out of June-ary and we are actually being treated to the sun and warmer temps.
But yesterday y'all?
Almost unbearable.
My flowers, which usually last at least two weeks, up and wilted. Died. Shriveled. All of them bit it with exception to the carnations in the arrangement.
Are carnations like the roaches of the flower world? I don't know much that will kill 'em.
I may have to pick up carnations this week. I like gerber daisies better and they seem to endure heat too.
I don't have much going on today other than work, taking Jasmine to see her doctor for a follow up, and residual chores not finished during the weekend.
How 'bout you internets? Whatcha' got going on?

Weekly Challenge #37

This week's challenge is a simple one.
If you have not done so, or if your time has run out, and you don't want those pesky sales calls, go here to sign up for the National Do Not Call registry.
It only takes a few minutes.
Three max.
Now maybe the Seattle Times will stop calling me.
Peace and Love Peeps.

Today

I would love to tell you this is me and what I saw from through the camera's eye today.

But it is not.

It is how I thought I was going to spend the day.

Instead I spent the day indoors.

Doing nothing. Absolutely nothing.

I slept in.

It felt oh so good.

My body obviously needed the rest.

By the time I made it poolside there was not an empty lounge chair in sight. Not a single one to be found anywhere.

I could barely see the water from all of the kids playing and cooling down.

I retreated.

Indoors.

I would have taken to the beach or doing something else if my toe had been cooperating. It's uber tender today.

So being inside and doing nothing was just what I needed.

I read. I paid bills. I watched a bit of TV.

But with blue skies, a high of 91 (current temp is 87), and the sun shining abundantly, I would have preferred to have been doing something outdoors.

All the peeps are out doing stuff. Stuff a temporary broken toe gimpy like me can't do.

So for now I'm gonna' get back to doing nothing.

Nothing in the form of laundry.

I know, I know. Such an exciting way to spend a Saturday night.

Don't you wish you were me?

Peace and Love Peeps.

Finally!

Summa' has arrived in the PacNW!

Where I live, the temps are supposed to be in the 80s and quite possibly the 90s this weekend.

Blue skies are abundant.

The sun is shining.

Pine cones are maturing before my very own eyes. If you look closely in the above picture you may see 'em too.

I'm sitting on the patio, plugging away (ok, I'm taking a lunch break right this moment), sipping on a cold glass of water with a lemon and a lime, enjoying the breeze, relishing in the warmth, and daydreaming about the poolside action I'll be engaging in over the weekend.

How's your Friday?

Peace and Love Peeps.

Recent Purchases

I can already hear Ace in my head. I'm not quite sure what his opinion will be but I know he's gonna have something to say.

Yes my dear friend. It has been awhile since I picked up some new things so quit hating.

It's only fitting I found the first one while on the phone with him. I'm not quite sure why I decided to browse the storage container section of Target Monday night but I was drawn there. I am glad I was as I found this containerThis bad boy is made for a salad loving fool such as myself. No more having to carry around two food storage containers. You know, one for the salad and another small one for the dressing. This one puts it all in one! Score!

Check it out.

The fork is a nice touch too don't you think? I'd love to share a website with you but when I googled frooshii all I got was this. If you can find a website, will you let me know? I'd love to see what other products they have to offer.

After I finished at Target I hobbled over to Trader Joe's. I love me some Trader Joe's. I wish everyone had one where they live. That store totally rocks! Rocks my world. Oh yes it does.

From there, I limped over to Linens N Things. The original reason for the visit was to pick up this and this.

So I'm going out on a limb and assuming you've clicked on the links. But if you didn't {slacker}, I went for a ped egg and a trashcan.

For the record, the ped egg does live up to the hype. See, walking funky post pedicure I was beginning to develop a hard spot on the outside of my heel. Instead of doing the usual scrub and pumice I thought I would give this "As Seen on TV" item a try.

I'm glad I did. If you've thought of picking one up but had reservations, let those go. I give it four out of five stars and endorse it without reservation.

Those of you who have the pleasure, or misfortune, of spending time with me in my home might be asking why in the world I needed another stainless steel step on can.

It's simple. The little one I have been using for the recyclables just wasn't cutting it. The bigger one is going to work out much better.

So peeps, when you come over, the brushed metal one is for trash. The shiny one with the red R on the back is for items to be recycled. Ok? Ok.

While I was picking up the ped egg I came across this. On sale nonetheless.

Steam resistant, on the go iPod speakers for all of $9.99, marked down from $19.99. I would have kept on limping at the higher price as it is not my usual style to select but I figured this way I could stop irritating the neighbors early in the morning and late at night.

They put out some sound don't get me wrong but nowhere near the thump, thump, thumpity thump the surround sound does. Plus I won't have to unpack the baby jam box speaker in my travel iPod case anymore.

The final find of the night is thanks to Fiwa. Thanks girl!

Yup, I've got my very own silicone baster brush now. The collar on it is to keep the bristles off of the counter. Another nice touch don't you think?

So internets tell me. What have you picked up lately? Just like new tunes, I'm all about cool little things that make life a bit easier. Fun too.

Share those with us and any must have items in your personal stash. I truly am interested.

Peace and Love Peeps.

Toe Part II

Allow me to share with you my toe.
My broken down toe.
My toe that has now been broken by a professional so it will set correctly.

When I woke up this morning it didn't hurt as much and the bruising was almost gone. It was still bent and had the funny looking bump, which I know now is where the break was, but I could actually walk with only mild discomfort.

Off to the doctor's appointment I went. After a few X-Rays it was determined I had a break at the base and a mild fracture at the top of the toe.
In order for it to heal correctly, the decision was made to break it completely. There is nothing quite as unsettling as hearing the crunch of your bone, even if it is at the hands of a trained professional.
Thankfully I am not sporting a funky shoe but I will rocking tape on two of the toes for the next week or so.
Thanks for the good vibes, prayers, and for checking in on me. It means a lot and like I've said before, I belive in the power of collective prayer and good thoughts.
Peace and Love Peeps.

Not Too Funny - Edited

I tried to find a picture of myself with a pouty face to accompany this post. I didn't have that much luck. Here's the best I could find.
I determined I smile. A lot. Not just in pictures but while I was pondering over Slick's question of whether I have always been optimistic.

I'd say for the most part, yup. I do try to find the brighter side of life. This is why I can laugh at myself right now for something that happened today that isn't so funny.

I was walking down stairs I have walked down many times before. They are wicked stairs but easy enough to maneuver. At some point I decided I wanted to fall down said stairs.

I skidded down about five or six of them, landed on my knees, and promptly thought "Ouch!" in my head.

I would love to tell you I did this after a few glasses of wine but y'all, I was totally stone cold sober.

I can only attribute this to the slickness of my feet in my heeled sandals post the mani/pedi and movie. Why else would I go tumbling down a perfectly good set of stairs?

The waitress who witnessed the incident was very concerned. Yea, yea. Lawsuit probably is the real reason but I would like to live in denial for a moment and think it is because it was that much of a fall and she was concerned for my well being.

She asked if anything was broken and I said no. I think I may be rethinking that statement right about now.

I googled symptoms of a broken toe and here's what I found to be the most common symptoms

Swollen toe
Toe pain
Bruised toe
Bleeding toe
Weak toe
Numb toe
Tingling toe
Misshapen toe

I have all of them except the bleeding toe. Even after I sat with a bag of ice from the bar for well over two and half hours.

This sucker, the second toe on my right foot, hurts like all get out. It's not a very pretty sight. But I did manage to save my pedi. That's gotta count for something right?

As I lay myself down to sleep tonight, I pray for a speedy recovery. There's not much you can do for a broken toe but stay off of it, tape it, ice it, and well...deal with it.

So that's what I am going to do. Deal with it and hope in the morning it's not any worse because it's pretty darn fugly right now. Hurts like the dickens too.

Peace and Love Peeps.

EDITED Post Wake Up: I now firmly believe that little piggy is broken. It is swollen more than yesterday. It is even more painful and numb. It has a funky little bent action going on that wasn't visible yesterday.

I made an appointment but can't get in until tomorrow. I'm erring on the side of caution folks. The last thing I want is a funky toe for the rest of my life, especially since this happened on the foot I previously had surgery on.

Good times y'all. Good times.

Weekly Challenge #36

This week's challenge is to HAVE FUN!

Allow your inner child to come out and play. Laugh. Kick it old school style. Do your thing. Alone or with friends and family.

Just don't be that guy in the background looking on, wishing, and letting a good time pass by.

We had so much fun this particular night on the dance floor Maricel lost one of her earrings. Now that my friends is fun with reckless abandon.

Go and get some for yourself. I'm off for such a day. A total girl's day with some of my favorite sistas by choice.

Mani, pedi, Sex and the City movie, followed by dinner on the waterfront.

Don't hate. Get on the phone, send a text, compose an email. Set one up for yourself.

We all deserve to take ourselves lighter than we do and to have some fun with those we love. This week I challenge you to take the bull by the horns.

Go on now. Make it happen!

Peace and Love Peeps.

F'ed Up Friday

My Friday feels more like a Monday.

I don't know about you but that just plain sucks.

Big time.

I knew I was off to a not so good start when I received a 6:08 AM phone call on an account with a substantial amount of funds in question.

At least the sun is shining, the kitties and I are healthy, after 19 days the man I connected last night in which we had a good talk and spent some quality time together, and J-Lo is helping me set up the wireless this afternoon.

I guess when I put it out there like that, it's not so bad after all.

Peace and Love Peeps.

12-4: Edited Post Hook Up

Remember Jeff?
My visitor last week who hooked me up with the savings, free Starz for a year, and the faster internet connection?
Well, today is the day, from 12 - 4, I get the faster internet service installed.
Don't you love how they give you a window of time like that?
I'm not complaining as I would rather have a window than a specific time stated and not met.
Honestly I am hopeful everything works out the way it should. I'm talking about the possibility of my internet and home phone not working.
Think about this for a moment.
The possibility of my home phone service being interrupted isn't that bad because I don't use it that much. My cell is the primary usage of communication.
If you take away my internet....oh! That will be painful. Of course I can still surf from my phone but I like the ease and comfort of doing so from my couch via the laptop or from the desktop.
What did we ever do before the invention of technology? I do remember but I like the convenience nowadays much more.
Here's to hoping I'm back up and running with no glitches post 4:00 PM, especially since Ace is in Vegas and won't be able to be my go to guy. Last time I had an issue he graciously stayed on the phone with customer service for me until it was fixed.
Ok, ok. I kinda' forced him to do so but he did it anyway because I'm inept like that and that is what friends are for. {Love you, Mean it}
Y'all send the vibes too ok? I believe in the power of collective prayer and vibes.
Oh, and in case anyone is wondering, my home # is staying the same. I am not sure about my email account. I'll be in touch if it changes and to let y'all know how this all works out.
Peace and Love Peeps.
UPDATE: So the creepy Comcast dude has come and gone. My wireless isn't up and running but will be soon enough. Thank you J-Lo for coming through for this girl! Well, you haven't yet but I know you will.
NOTE: J-Lo is a co-worker who is good with all the technical stuff I am not. He always comes through for me. I'm a very blessed girl to have such great people in my life.
Another great person in my life is Maricel. She just happened to be here when the creepy dude, who looks nothing like the people on the commercials, came a calling. She hung out with me until he was done and she had to go back to work. And she brought spicy chicken burritos to boot!
My email address has changed. {Sigh} I had a feeling it would. Personal emails will follow soon to those of you who have my current/pre-existing one. I don't know how much longer this one will be operational.
Please forgive me for leaving you once again. I need to air out my house and disinfect where he, the creepy Comcast dude named Jason, left his mark.

Happy Monday

Happy Monday y'all!
I hope your week is starting off on a good note.
Mine is.
The babies let me sleep until the alarm went off. Thank you baby Jesus as 5:45 AM is early enough. I guess feeding them around midnight last night did the trick.
The sun is shining around these parts today. The birds are singing and we're supposed to see a high of 72!
Jasmine and I shared a peach yogurt, OJ, and fresh pineapple smoothie.
Then as I was getting ready she decided she would go to one of her favorite spots these days. I think I have shared since she is feeling better she's back to climbing on things and in things.
Her favorites lately are on top of the printer, on top of the mantle, and here, inside of the left side of the entertainment center.
I like to think of this as her you can't see me; I am stealth kitty. Uh oh. My cover has been blown.
Hey now. If I assume the crouching tiger hidden dragon pose, I look like I belong here. Like I am part of the decorative elements. Yea, yea that's it. I'm a statue.
And then I turned around and found Princess chilling on one of her spots. She likes the arm of the couch. Don't you think the flowers accent her nicely? I wonder what was going through her mind. She looks very intense and dare I say scholarly?
In case you are wondering, the picture Jasmine is behind is a picture of my Mom in Stanley Park back in the day. The camera in front of her picture is the actual camera she is carrying/holding in the snapshot.

The longhorn picture is also a connection to Mom. We used to go for walks and along the way we would pass a field with a few longhorns. So viola, also back in the day, I took a picture.

I like to have it in my living room so I can see it and feel connected not only to my Mom but also to Texas. My roots are important to me, especially since I don't know very much of my family history, on either side. So what I do know, I honor and cherish.

How about you? Do you have items in your home connecting you to your past and/or to your loved ones who have passed on?

Oh and Cheryl, thank you for asking about the babies. They are doing much better through the miracles of modern medicine.

And yup, Mo is home based for the week! Happy Monday indeed!

And yet one more reason for a Happy Monday dance, my next door neighbor with the annoying dog who barked incessantly has moved out. Now I can only hope and pray I get someone nice and neighborly and who doesn't think I am a drug dealer or a lady of the evening.

I don't think I ever shared that with you did I? The short version is he thought, because of my ever changing schedule and the amount of people coming and going from my place, I was a dealer or a call girl.

Um, no. I quickly helped him to see the light once he told me that.

Anywho, I've rambled enough for now. Plus, work is calling my name.

Peace and Love Peeps.

Weekly Challenge #35

First and foremost, Happy Father's Day!

This week we're back in the kitchen.

I challenge you to clean your toaster.

When is the last time you shook the crumbs out? Wiped the outside down?

Don't remember?

Me either.

So this week, at some point in your day, show old toasty a little bit of TLC.

Peace and Love Peeps.

Effing A

I know I am not alone in this.
Some of you may even be paying more than I did this morning.
I just have to say $4.35 a gallon for regular gas is asinine! I have feeling it is only going to get worse as the days go on.
I draw the line at paying double this amount. If we hit those prices I will start telecommuting or walking to work.
With a day trip to Port Orchard today and Everett tomorrow, I more than likely will be filling up again by Saturday. Me no likey.
But I did get back $2100.00 from a customer today and have the honor of attending the Wub's graduation this evening. Tomorrow I will do a training class during a meeting.
Good times and worth the investment for business purposes but gosh darnit, $4.35?
And Brad and Fiwa, are you seeing all the po-po that are out and about too? I saw 7 before I even made it to the Narrows bridge this morning!
Effing A. That's my motto of the day so far...make me feel better, or worse, what are gas prices in your neighborhood?
Don't hold back. I wanna' know.
Peace and Love Peeps.

You're Awesome!

Words spoken at least five times in about fifteen minutes this evening.
There I was. Alone. In the dark. Drinking an ice cold beer and watching the game. {Thank you baby Jesus for letting the Lakers pull it out this evening.}
It's near the end of the third quarter. I hear a knock on my door. I remove myself from the couch, check the peephole, and notice it looks like someone I know so I open the door.
Turns out it's not someone I know. It's some college kid. I now know him as Jeff, the frat boy from Washington State (Go Cougs!), who is over here for the summer, living in an apartment in Auburn, and recently was the victim of a crime (his radio and GPS were stolen from his car). Oh, and his momma taught him to take off his shoes before entering someone's home and last summer he was in Victoria, Texas doing the same thing he's doing this summer.
Yes y'all. I got all of that information, and the fact he was rooting for the Celtics, in all of a fifteen minute span, if even that.
See, Jeff came calling to offer me a better deal on my cable, phone, and internet service. I will now be saving about $600.00 bucks a year, will have faster internet, and also will be getting Starz free for a year.
What did Jeff get out of the deal? Commission and the ability to watch the last quarter of the game with me, the most awesome female in all of the land. Hey now, those were his words.
He was very thankful to have knocked on my door since he did get to watch the first two games and out of all the doors he knocked on, I was the only home with the game on during his sales calls tonight. You can't really watch games 1 and 2 and not 3 can you?
And you know, how awesome is it that a female is not only watching the game by herself but is drinking a beer, offered him a glass of water, and "invited" him to stay and watch the last three minutes of the game since his shift was over anyway?
Yea, that's me. Awesome.
All in all, I believe I got the better end of the deal.
Peace and Love Peeps.

That's Incredible

I'm totally going to out myself.
By the time we're done here, you are either going to think
  1. I am more crazy than you already do
  2. You'll be inspired
  3. You'll be reaching out and asking me to come organize your stuff too
I apologize for the not quite so good picture quality. I took these after a few mango margaritas last night.
Let me set the stage for you. We (Maricel, J, Drea, and I) were settling in for a meal during game 2 at my place last night.
J asked for a certain sauce to add to his meal and this is when it all began.
He noticed I label my spices and seasonings in this manner. I keep them organized on a word document, complete with the expiration dates of seasonings and sauces noted in the box.
At this point, J is exclaiming, "That's incredible!" Over and over he's saying this. I'm feeling a tad exposed so I'm telling him to get out of my kitchen. Over and over.
Then he opens the fridge and takes note of how my condiments are stored. I put like items with like items and for some reason he was impressed with the two types of mustard.
I will also label tupperware items with what is in the container and the date of storage.
Drea made a good point when she said it makes sense because of my travel schedule; this is a necessary evil. Who wants to be surprised by some rank food in the fridge upon their return? And I'd be remiss if I didn't point out the handwritten list of booze inside my bar/storage area. Beer and Goose is chilling in the fridge 90% of the time; no need to list a staple.
It may seem like it takes a long time to do this but it really doesn't. All you need is some masking tape and a sharpie.
Overkill? Maybe. Organizational madness just right for Mo? Check.
The real reason I started this? Drea is partly right but the true source is inspired by my Mom. She hung on to food items like none other. I understand the source of her need to do so but growing up, and cleaning the pantry out after her passing, instilled in me the desire to be diligent in this area of my home.
Call me crazy but this is part of what makes me...well me...
Peace and Love Peeps.

Weekly Challenge #34

This week's challenge can be interpreted many different ways.
The choice is yours. Determine how it applies in your life.
Simply put, this week's challenge is DISCIPLINE.
For me, this means putting myself back on a work out schedule, having things ready, and to do the things I say I am going to do followed up by putting action in motion.
I already lead a relatively structured life. I'm the one planning to make a plan. I'm the one who schedules things weeks, even months, in advance. I'm the one who lives by lists.
But when it comes to getting some things done, I need more disciplined execution in my life.
I wonder, do you too?
Mine started with a solo (gasp, I know) trip to Costco yesterday. I immediately came home and started washing and chopping.
I have a fresh, homemade, strawberry, blueberry, and apple fruit salad ready for munching on.
I have a spinach, mushroom, carrot, broccoli, sweet pepper, and grape tomato homemade salad ready for the week too.
Onions and mushrooms have been chopped and are mixed together to throw in with some egg whites or on whatever I may choose.
Also representing in the fridge are mango and pineapple slices ready for smoothies and margaritas this afternoon.
It took a total of two hours to make this happen on a Saturday afternoon. I see those two hours as an investment in my health. An investment allowing me the discipline to eat healthy at the drop of a hat.
I'm set for the first half of the week. I challenge you to apply this methodology in your personal life too.
Peace and Love Peeps.

Meet the Work Husband

Lots of y'all have asked.

I now introduce you to the work husband.

He and I travel together. A lot.

We compliment each other in terms of work style.

Personality wise we totally bring it.

Not only are we colleagues, we're the best of friends.

We've got each others backs like nobody's business.

We can order a meal for each other without skipping a beat, including the special requests and quirks we both have. We have complete conversations via a look of the eyes. If one of us forgets to pack something, you can pretty much be assured the other one has it or will make sure we make the time for a store shopping trip.

We've worked together for a total of 7 years but only in the last two have we been lean, mean traveling machines on the exact same team.

From time to time, I travel solo. So does he. Another member of our team, the dotted line boss aka "boss man" joins us on some of our trips too.

Bottom line? We lurve each other and traveling solo just isn't the same without your road dog.

Peace and Love Peeps.

He's Baaaack

Spanky is back!
Did you miss him?
I'm pretty sure he's upset with me for keeping him on the down low for about a month but forgiveness will be granted.
I'm glad I packed him for this trip as he was asked for specifically by name upon my arrival yesterday. Love, love, love that my work peeps embrace him like they do.
Here's a random sampling of his life of late. It may seem as if all we do is eat and drink but I assure you we do much more than this when we're on the road.

After a looooooong day, booze hound Spanky believes the peeps should have an ice cold beer; Guinness for "boss man" and Bud Light for me.

Have you ever seen a fried baked potato? I had not until last night. Apparently it is a house speciality and according to our waitress and the restaurant manager, awesome. My vote? Not so awesome but at least I can say I have tried a fried baked tater.

Fresh horseradish with prime rib is a rare treat. Almost made up for the not so awesome tater. Almost.

I passed on the melted butter that accompanied the prawn and scallop skewer cooked cajun style. We love us some salsa and queso oh yes we do.

If you don't watch yourself, we'll run you over for chicken fajita salad.

We have another night and two days to go in this destination. It's been a good trip so far and I am sure the rest of the time in the great state of Idaho will be more of the same.

I hope things are good where you are too.

Peace and Love Peeps.

This Morning

This morning started entirely too early.

Like 3: 15 AM early.

No need to rub your eyes and look twice. You read that correctly. 3:15 AM!

I would love to say it has everything to do with being woken up by one of the love kitties but sadly, this is not the case.

Sadly is the correct choice of words as both of the babies have been at the vet's office since Saturday afternoon.

Leaving home before the butt crack of dawn on a Monday morning, with no other real option to get them to the vet before I departed, I have determined makes me sad.

I know you know I love my babies but can I just tell you how lonely it was coming home Saturday afternoon, all day Sunday, and waking this morning without them?

So. Very. Sad.

Know what else is sad but in an entirely different form of sad?

People who have no business being in the expert traveler line being in it at 4:45 AM.

** WARNING ** This is where y'all get to experience my frustration.

If you don't know the drill, get out of the line! Shoes, belts, and jackets off. Computers out of the bag. Liquids, in containers no bigger than 3 oz, in a quart size ziploc bag in the bin. No drinks through the line. Boarding pass out, id put away.

Might I suggest you put your other electronics, such as iPod, cell phone, camera, etc., in a ziploc bag too?

Doing the above makes it that much easier for all of us.

I think it is pretty much safe to say I am feeling like Famous Dave's BBQ sauce so far today.

Sweet and Zesty. Yep, that's me. I think I'm gonna' roll with this as long as I can.

That weekly challenge I put out there yesterday was large and in charge as I felt my frustration growing in the TSA line. I kept telling myself, "Love these people. Let it go. In the grand scheme of things, it is not that big of a deal."

Yeah, yeah. Whatever.

Then just as I was getting irritated even more, from behind me I hear, "I just farted."

I could not help but laugh a little bit inside. Don't you just love the innocence of children?

And the best part of the day so far? Seeing a flashback from back in the day. Seriously. A woman with a teased up to here beehive and her man totally sporting the Fu Manchu long hair and mustache.

I wish I could have gotten my camera out fast enough to snap the picture so you could have experienced it too.

Now that you have enjoyed part of the morning with me, I need to finish my eggs, shut down my laptop, hit up the bathroom, and get ready to board the second flight of the day.

Happy Monday; Peace and Love Peeps.

Weekly Challenge #33

This week's challenge is love.

Love yourself. Quiet the inner voice telling you negative things and replace it with loving, positive thoughts and energy.

Love others. Tell those you cherish how much they mean to you. Whisper it, write it, say it...just be sure they know.

Love family. Might be the same as loving others but I'm seeing this one more as letting a slight annoyance that normally would get under your skin, just be.

Love your work. Be thankful you are gainfully employed and find at least one thing you enjoy about what you do that allows for financial stability in these trying times. Appreciate the housework you have to do as it means you have a roof over your head.

Y'all get what I am trying to get across?

Love.

Let it in your life this week. Each and every day. Carry it forward. Personally I have found the love I give away comes back tenfold and then some.

Peace and Love Peeps.
