I finally got the top of my home desk cleaned off and organized today.

Aren't you proud of me?

If you are not, you dang well should be. I've only been talking about how I needed to get it back in shape for a while now.

I turned my both my home and cell phone to "silence all" and got cracking this afternoon.

I filled up two trash bags worth of stuff.

There is something so freeing about purging all the unnecessary papers, magazine articles, mailers, old bills, etc.

I really dislike clutter and being unorganized so I am not really sure why I let it pile up to paperweight status.

All I know is the top of the desk is clean and I am feeling so much better because of it.

Next up? The desk drawers and filing cabinet.

And before you go thinking I just moved stuff from the top of the desk to the drawers or the filing cabinet, I did no such thing.

Items I need to file have been placed in a decorative bag under my desk. A small decorative bag at that.

After all was said and done, I was even inspired enough to make a quick semi-scrapbook/semi-collage page of my nieces and nephews to put on the side of the fridge.

Pete and the girls are coming over tomorrow and the girls keep asking to see my nieces and nephews I talk about to them so I thought this would be the quickest and easiest way to get the job done since I am sooooo very behind on getting pictures developed and put in albums or scrapped.

Hope all of you are enjoying your long weekend so far. I know cleaning a desk top doesn't sound exciting but trust me, it was a great way to pass the day.

Peace and Love Peeps.
