I took a vacation day today. I had personal, pressing things to be attended to that have to be done in the course of a normal business day. Things taking more time than a lunch hour break can accommodate.
All was not lost. I did schedule in some me time, which included pampering and girl time.
Maricel, Veronika, one of Veronika's daughters, and I went for pedicures. Pedis complete with chocolate and champagne. Mmmmm hmmmm, yes we did. Before noon too. 
Spanky approved.
Apparently I didn't get the pink polish memo. 
Afterward Maricel and I grabbed sushi and made a pit stop at Target. Good times, especially watching Maricel take off like a bunny rabbit after I dropped a jar of turkey Gerber baby food on the floor.
I didn't mean for it to fall from the shelf. Really I didn't. As if in a movie, I watched it fall in slow motion and go splat. Where are my kitties when a clean up is in order?
I turned to the basket, put the other jars I had in my hand in, and said to Maricel something to the effect of we needed to get the heck out of the aisle.
She promptly did while giggling all the way. Looking back on this now it is still funny but we probably should have told someone about the mess and broken jar.
I didn't get everything done I wanted to do today as my right ear started to hurt something fierce. I believe I was overzealous the other day in scratching the inside of it and now I am paying for it. Plus, I grinded the heck out of my teeth while I slept last night and my jaw/TMJ is acting up.
So, instead of pushing through and ignoring my body, I did some but not everything I wished to accomplish which means first up after an anticipated long day at work tomorrow is project laundry. Some little kitty decided clean laundry is her new favorite nesting place.
She's on the bed with me now but I'm tired. Laundry always holds doesn't it?

Your panties don't care if they are folded or no, you can wear them fresh off the sofa....love the panties.

Ah, Mondays are a perfect day for that. But really, is there really a place that provides chocolate and champage while having pedis? Or did you bring your own? BYOC. I must know!!!!!
Glad you were able to take a 'me' day. And I agree with BCBG - laundry is sent to the basement to be washed, when we need something to wear we just go to the basement and fuish something out of the ginormus pile on the laundy room 'folding' counter. The stuff never makes it back upstairs to the dressers. I think we need to re-work this plan.
Me days are so wonderful! Glad you got to enjoy one girlfriend!!

So that's what all the commotion was about in Target yesterday. And here I thought they were looking for weapons, when all along they were checking my clothes for traces of turkey baby food! j/k. ;)
Hope you are feeling better today. And yes, laundry will wait. That's why they invented Downy Wrinkle Remover. That stuff is da bomb!
Oh, and I must report my sushi steps. I tried eel today - I loved it!

I thought I ask for no more toe pics this Summer. I guess we are like a married couple because you ignored my wishes. The Ike in me is coming out Anna Mae.
