From the Deck - Round 2

Another night on the deck...chillin'...laughin'...eatin'...drinkin'...you get the idea right?

I wish I had pictures to share with you but I left my camera at home this morning and tore ass straight from work to the deck of Salty's to meet Kyla for grub and good times.

T, You're welcome. No clams this time but we did have oysters on the 1/2 shell, coconut prawns, fish and chips, and king salmon. HA! *You'll be here soon enough so hush it.*

Without pictures, I will have to let the descriptive words from their website paint a picture for you.

"When spring and summer arrive our wrap around decks are the locals' favorite." - You got that right!

"Long summer days and evenings with warm sunshine and refreshing saltwater breezes encourage Salty's guests to linger with refreshing cocktails and tasty seafood appetizers." - Kyla, please forgive the 9-5 corporate job getting in the way.

The location we were at provides a "waterfront view of Puget Sound, the Olympic mountains, and Maury Island." - So pretty and uber relaxing.

You might also see "ferries visiting Vashon Island. Sunsetting over the Olympics. Scuba divers in the Puget Sound. Children collecting shells and rocks on the beach." - And then some...like massive amounts of people exercising, taking their dogs for a walk, boaters going to and fro.

Sound like a slice of heaven to you?

Yea, to me too.

I've said it before and I will say it again. You simply can't beat the scenery this area has to offer. I am blessed to have it literally in my backyard every day. Rain or shine, windy or calm, icy or hot...it's breathtaking.

Makes my home state of Texas pale in comparison. Now, if I could just get some spicy Tex-Mex, some ragin' Cajun, and a lower cost of living up here, I'd really be in heaven!

Peace and Love Peeps. I'm off to bed. It's going to be another long one tomorrow and a hot one too. Wanna' guess where the locals will be?

OMG..Pineapple cheesecake are you serious? Spoon please.

I'm still trying to figure out when I will be coming up there. The person I was going to hang out with has not really been that 'warm' to the meeting. Of course she says she's coming, but I don't think she is. So when I figure it all out, I'll be sure to let you know. I miss Seattle.

I love the scanned image of your receipt. I horde receipts and so I loved this post. But on top of that, you spent the good weather day doing the quintessential Puget Sound thing to do.

It gives this place another reason why summer makes this place paradise...
