Interruption of Service

I interrupt your normally scheduled program to bring you .

One of my pet peeves is when people say "I seen" when they should be saying "I saw".

It gets under my skin. I grit my teeth. I bite my tongue. Annoyance at its best to say the least.

Case in point: A man being interviewed on CNN in Central Florida about the storm he and his wife lived through last night. He is clearly an American. Dare I say a bubba. He says twice during his interview, "I seen the roof".

Bubba, it is "I saw" the roof.

Get it? Got it? Good.

Off my soapbox for now.

OMG, too funny! What's worse is I caught myself saying that TODAY! Right after it came out of my mouth I wondered where the $%&& it came from - I'm sure it's b/c we're innundated w/ poor grammar. ;-)

BTW, I wanted to pass this along to you. I get sent local news, so I'm not endorsing in any way, but it sounds like a good deal, and it's in our area.

I'm right there with you. I have this friend, who lives in a northern state, not a bubba, very Italian, and he says that ALL the time and I want to SCREAM when he does it.

OK I feel better now.

Thanks for the tip Wendy.

Summer, It is the worst isn't it? Know what is even more wrong? When you let your friends know about this pet peeve and they say it on purpose to get your goat.

Quit it Ace. You too T.
