Day 5 and 6

Y'all would be proud to know the laundry is almost all the way done.

Now I know you might be thinking, "Dang that laundry sure is taking a long time to do." You would be right.

I had mounds and mounds peeps. Lots of delicates to do too. And we all know how long those can take if you take the time and care to do them right. You know, wash them. Sometimes by hand. Hang them to dry.

I spent the day yesterday finally doing most all of that. I officially have two small loads left to wash, a big batch to hang up, fold and put away (boy howdy do I have a lot of black clothes), the bed linens, the shower curtain, and the slipcovers left to do.

Boring I know but hey, it has to be done at some point right? I will feel so much better once all of this is done.

I still have not tackled the file cabinet and honestly I don't think I will do it this vacation. Fall and winter are on the way so there will be plenty of weekend afternoons I can dedicate to that task.

The kitties have finally figured out we are on vacation. Jasmine has not tried to wake me up at the butt crack of dawn the last two days.

Of course, yesterday I was up at the butt crack of dawn. I didn't go to sleep until after 8:00 AM. I had a visitor at 4:26 AM. Y'all wanna' guess who that might have been?

If you say Pete you are correct. Yep folks. He knocked on my door at 4:26 AM. I was up so it is not like I got out of bed to answer the door. I wasn't expecting it. So much for separation huh?

We talked for a little bit. Let me just say, we are not getting back together. I thought I would throw that out there before you started to wonder. He took a nap and I managed to get him out the door and off to work, late, but off he went.

I rounded out the day by talking with JP and Kimmy and went to the gym. Sorry I missed your call back Kimmy. I was at the gym when you called and it was too late your time to call you back.

I finally unpacked all of my suitcases and put them back in their proper (by my standards) storage capacity and in doing so, found something I have been looking for since May.

It wasn't tucked away in a suitcase but rather in a Victoria's Secret bag, of which I found a bra and thong set I forgot I purchased. Ok so my OCD isn't always in full force.

I found part of JP's birthday present. Her birthday is only in May and here it is August. Thankfully she understands and knows I was thinking of her on her birthday nonetheless. Same for T. She still hasn't gotten her present and her day is in November. Hey, that's how we roll.

The night was rounded out by watching the new season of Real World. My guilty tv watching pleasure. Season 19. Sydney, Australia. Looks like I won't be disappointed this season. Drama on tv and not in my real life is always a good thing.

The Hills start next week and a new Laguna Beach called Newport Harbor too.

Ok, yes. I am a thirty+ woman who watches MTV. You got a problem with that? Too bad if you do. :) I'm not alone. I know this for sure as our local HR manager is a closet MTV reality series watching 30+ woman too.

So, what is on the agenda today? Probably staying local. I need to go to Costco and the grocery store. I am down to next to nothing in the fridge.

Pretty sad huh? Hey, at least I have beer, ice cream, and condiments! Living single at its best or worst.

Seriously, I need to start keeping food in the house when I am not on the road. It is healthier, my body appreciates it, and my doctor will too.

Other than possibly going shopping, I'm not sure what else day 6 will be spent doing. Maybe an early movie with Karen. Maybe a walk on the boardwalk with Maricel and Chenney. Maybe happy hour at our Cheers with the gang.

That is the beauty of this vacation. I don't have to do anything. Too bad it is almost over.

Peace and Love Peeps. I'm going to get back to doing nothing. In my jammies. On a Thursday afternoon. Don't hate a'right?

I really only have an ocd problem when it comes to my desk, my closet, and folding towels. They have to be folded the same way, hemline the same direction, stacked neatly away in the closet the same way too. My car is a mess! So, I forgive you for your OCD mishap. =)

I'm getting the impression it's a really good thing you aren't getting back together with Pete.

Tomorrow, I suggest you do something touristy that you haven't done before. Just one thing! That's what vacation is all about.

Your fridge has more food than my fridge. And I have kids! Bless their hearts and GOD love Ramen Noodles. I haven't had the time to go to the store except for daily things. I suck, but right now, that's how we be doin' it.

I got a special box in the mail that cracked me up! You're such a crafty, B arentcha? I loved the card. I was like this is such a cool card then I flipped it over and it says it was made by you and I was all...you have got to be freakin' kiddin me! I can't believe you made that-crafty!

I can't believe he had the NERVE to come knockin on your door at 4:30 in the MORNIN'. Too bad you didn't have a guy over. Shoulda lied. I don't understand men at times. They want to be able to have their cake and eat it too...sorry he did that to you. I'm sure it was sort of an emotional thing.

I hope you enjoy your final days on vacation. It's been nice reading about your relaxing time home alone. Your babies aren't gonna know what happened to 'em next week when it's back to business as usual.

Wendy,
Thanks for understanding. A lot of times I feel like I leave myself open to being judged or picked on if my place isn't completely clean...everything "perfect".

Pete is a good guy don't get me wrong and our relationship was always built on honesty, and still is, but that was a bit of info I could have done without until more time has passed.

Kimmy is right. It was emotional.

As for doing something touristy I had the chance to do Monday but begged off. Tomorrow I have a day of doctor appointments to look forward to.

Kimmy,
You need to get to the store and stock up on some food if my fridge has more food than yours. Well, you did say you are going on a daily basis so...I take that back.

I am glad you liked the card. I try to be crafty and am never sure if people will like what I make.

This might sound freaky but the bookmark I put in the book for you...I made one for me too. So when you're moving yours around, I just might be moving mine around too.

Did you see the frome on the back of the package I got laughed at for? That was not my proudest moment that is for sure. Oh and she kept rubbing the swirl stamp image on the front of the package when she was asking the standard USPS shipping questions. Kinda' freaked me out.

As for Pete, I hear ya'. I talked with him this afternoon and asked him what his intention was behind the visit and he said simply, "You keep popping into my head. I wanted to see you." Then he said something to effect of being happy it was just you and the kitties. Next time he might not be so lucky.

Hold the phone.
You made my bookmark too??? Are you kidding me? I showed that to Abbie and we were like isn't this the coolest bookmark?! Now it's like EVEN WAY COOLER knowing you made it. I swear, you missed your calling. Everything about it was so awesome. I feel so inadequate now....

Okay so, yeah. Next time Pete? You might not be so lucky to come in at 4 in the mornin and find her alone with the kitties. BUD. *this is where i'd take my index finger and poke him in the shoulder*

Ah Kim. You are too kind. And I am going to tell you how easy it was to make the bookmark because

1. I don't want you to feel inadequate

2. I like to share

I took a tag, some patterned paper, and wrapped the tag like I would a present. Punched a little hole where the tag hole originally was and strung the hemp piece through it.

That is the process in a nutshell. Simple huh?

Does Abbie have a favorite color or color combo she is drawn to? I’ll make one for her and send her a little snail mail surprise.

Thanks for the instructions Mo!
I think I'll give it a whirl. I took 'em to work today and showed everyone what a crafty B you are. Very cool indeed.

I started reading the book today when I was peeing/blowing drying my hair.

Multi tasking at it's finest.
